We supply Turf locally to the Manawatu and also areas such as Whanganui, Wellington, Kapiti Coast, Hawkes Bay and Taupo.

Check our our range below, this creates places and spaces that people love to use.

Multi Lawn

Turf Species: A mixture of Fine Rye, Fine Fescue and Brown Top – Medium Green in colour Our most popular turf choice, a good all round turf type that will suit a wide range of environments.

The three way mix of grasses give the turf great versatility. Suitable for high to low use situations and also sites that have a mix of full sun and shaded areas.

If you can’t decide between the other turf options then Multi Lawn is a good choice as it had the qualities of both Play Lawn and Fine Lawn.

Suggested mowing height 20-40mm

Tall Fescue

Turf Species: Tall Fescue - Dark Green in colour. A good general purpose hard wearing turf with a slightly broader leaf than our other turf types.

Has the added advantage of having better drought tolerance (once established) than our Play Lawn and Multi Lawn.

When mown at the higher setting produces a dense sward making it difficult for weeds to establish. This dense sward also helps the turf to tolerate high traffic areas.

Suggested Mowing Height: 30-50mm

Play Lawn

Turf Species: Fine Amenity Ryegrass - Medium to Dark Green in colour
A good hard wearing general purpose turf, which suits a wide range of environments.

Generally used in medium to high use areas due to its good ability to recover well from wear, while still giving an excellent lawn in low use areas. An easy lawn to maintain best suited to areas that receive good sunlight.

Suggested Mowing Height: 20-35mm

Fine Lawn

Turf Species: Fine Fescues - Medium Green in colour
A very fine lawn which is best suited to low use areas as an ornamental lawn. Will tolerate shaded areas better than our other turf types. Relatively slow growing therefore can also be used in situations that aren't frequently mown where grass cover is required while maintaining a tidy appearance.

Suggested Mowing Height: 15-25mm

Bermuda (Couch)

Turf Species: Cynadon Dactylon - Medium Green in colour.

A fine leafed hard wearing species with excellent drought tolerance. A deep rooted species that spreads by stolons which aids rapid recovery from wear/ damage.

Maintaining summer green colour through dryer periods. Bermuda (couch) is a warm season grass so during cooler temperatures growth will slow or will go completely dormant in areas that experience frosts. In areas that experience frosts Bermuda (couch) will turn brown in winter.

To overcome this a companion species (Fine Fescues/Rye grass) can be over sown in autumn to give a green cover all year round. Bermuda (couch) is ideal for costal situations, golf courses, council berm and roadsides, or where traditional cool season grasses are difficult to maintain through lack of moisture.

Suggested Mowing Height: 15-30mm
